Check-in to be confirmed at least 48 hours before, outside the permitted hours based on the availability of the structure with an additional cost of 40 euros.

Upon check-in, guests must show an identity document and a credit card.

Upon check-in, guests must pay the tourist tax of 1.50 euros per night, for a maximum of 5 consecutive nights, per person over 12 years of age as requested by the Municipality of Varazze.

Pets are not allowed, in order to protect the tranquility and other guests from possible allergies.

It is not possible to organize parties or events in the apartments.

Smoking is prohibited both inside and outside the apartments.

HISTORY

In 1953 Ida and Giuseppe fell in love with Varazze as tourists and moved there to build a hotel in a quiet area, a few steps from the sea and the historic center.

Seventy years later, after a careful renovation in the name of sustainability, his niece Ilaria has reopened that place to welcome, in five exclusive apartments equipped with every comfort and inspired by Italian design, those who want to experience a dream vacation.

Walking down on the Lungomare Europa, surfing the waves at La Secca, explore the Beigua Natural Park by bicycle, taste the Mandilli de Vaze at the Marina, gather in meditation at the Eremo del Deserto.

HOST

Ilaria was born in Varazze and at nineteen she ventured into the world thanks to the competition Super Model of the World: Los Angeles, Paris, Milan have been some stages of her life as a model dedicated to travel.

In the 90s she returned to Liguria for love, becoming a wife and mother; she has dealt with social issues as a lawyer and essayist, with positions at the Ministry of Health and the CONI General Prosecutor’s Office for Sport.

She was Mayor of Savona from 2016 to 2021, committing herself to achieving the objectives of the UN 2030 Agenda and she has dedicated herself to promoting the sustainable development of local authorities, especially on a tourist level, as a member of the ASviS – Italian Alliance for Sustainable Development Secretariat.

SUSTAINABILITY

IDA Italian Design Apartments is located in an A2 energy class building, equipped with a thermal coat, solar thermal system to produce hot water and photovoltaics to produce electricity, summer and winter air conditioning system, heat pumps, central heating with meters.

In the soundproofed apartments there are water-saving sanitary systems, energy-saving fixtures, LED lighting, containers for separate waste collection, equipment aimed at eliminating the use of plastic.

The furniture is largely of Italian production and some furnishing accessories are made by local artists and craftsmen.

Blue Flag 2023

This year, Varazze has once again received the prestigious international recognition from FEE, which is awarded to coastal locations that meet certain criteria for water quality and services offered.

The Blue Flag is an international award established in 1987, which is given every year in 48 countries worldwide that meet criteria for sustainable management of the territory. Liguria has been the region with the most awards for its excellent waters and services offered for years now.
